Prague

So, I'm sitting at the hotel in Prague, right in the middle of Old Town. And, damn it, they have wi-fi! :)) If they didn't I would probably not spend valuable hours in this beautiful city in front of my lap top. But, anyway, the weather is anything but welcoming, so it feels quite OK, here, in my warm hotel room :))
Here are some photos I've made today. Probaly the last update for the coming week, as I will not have time for that when the workshop starts tomorrow. More photos inside the post.
Going to get some local beer now, cheers!


1. Powder gate (Czech: Prašná brána) or Пороховая башня in Russian.
One of the symbols of Prague, leading into the Old Town. Dating from 1475, the Powder Gate was built as one of 13 gates to the city of Prague

3.Czech: Pražský orloj or Пражские куранты.
Is a medieval astronomical clock which is mounted on the southern wall of Old Town City Hall in the Old Town Square and is a popular tourist attraction.
The Orloj is composed of three main components: the astronomical dial, representing the position of the Sun and Moon in the sky and displaying various astronomical details; "The Walk of the Apostles", a clockwork hourly show of figures of the Apostles and other moving sculptures; and a calendar dial with medallions representing the months.
Honestly, those apostols, coming out every hour are not worth waiting longer then 5 min...
